As fresh joy rains
Upon spent pain
Happy days
Are here again!

Nourish Me

Nourish me with sun
Warm upon my skin
Nourish me with love
Welled from deep within
Nourish me with sustenance
Of a life true friend
Universe--nourish me.

The Sun

The sun neither sets nor rises
Sunsets are the substance of poets’ dreams
The sun is affixed in a whirling universe
Things just aren’t as they seem

Money

This thing that they call money
Doesn't really count
Although I stack it higher
It does not a mount

2009 Year of the Tear

I have not been writing
Here's the reason why
From January until now
All I've done is cry
I try to raise my spirit
And frolic gleefully
But, when I am alone
Reality consumes me
My big brother, my younger cousin
And a good friend
As long as I am alive
This will never end
I am thankful for all that exists
I feel truly blessed
To have the knowledge of what's real
I want nothing less

Cracking The Code to Bliss

Dream your plans
so that you may plan your dream.
You can have all that you desire
but, not at the same time
Allow your blessings to rain upon you one at a time
Indian philosophy says,
At the end of your physical existence
you will be judged by the answer to two querries:
Did you enjoy your life
and
Did you bring joy to the lives of others.'
You are guaranteed success, if you stay in the present.
Observe everything around you and start to live your dream from where you are, immediately.
We have the power to make our thoughts our reality.
Our purpose for existence is to make our presence felt by leaving situations better than we found them; by our actions we achieve true bliss.

Blogging

Blogging, straight logging
And getting it right

Living and giving
And keeping it tight

Vibing prose scribing
And acting real bright

Rolling and goaling
The prize is in sight

The Presupposition of Sorry

I do not accept apology
For it presupposes betrayal
There is no need to apologize
If you have not crossed the line

One cannot be forgiven
For cashing in ones soul
Because soul is the essence of being
Through mirrored aberration you’re now seeing

I will never accept apology
For I would be giving in to sin
And be party to my own oppression
Thus sabotaging my future blessing

NYC 34th Street

People percolate in anonymity
In this cauldron that we call NYC
A sea of humanity undulates in waves
Traversing in and out of brick & mortar caves
5 pm our destination home is clear
Curb hurdling traffic breaking rules with no fear
We ride beside faces of our family unknown
To majestically unlock the door and sit upon a throne

Jahzara-day, June 27, 2008

Meet me at the Met
It’s gonna to be great, you bet
When you meet me
Meet me at the Met

Our plans have been made
I will be there when I’m paid
You can bet
We will be there at Met

Stays open tonight ’til nine
Many places there to dine
No sweat
Just meet me at the Met

From there we will take flight
To see the little Princess tonight
But, I’ll never forget
That we met there at the Met

Just to get a little more in
Feeling jazzy around ten
Then
We can listen to Bill Saxton

Ann and Roberta it is on you
We can do what you want to
But, don’t fret
We will first meet at the Met

Me Me Me

Don't want your help with my songs, you see
Because you say that, '...it's all about me...'
Friday you thought that I was fast asleep
Into your psyche my intellect seeped

Since you say it’s all about me
Your words shall be your destiny
Shocked into knowing that I’ve neglected
The person whom I've resurrected

Spit-in-face, fire haired bona fide fright
Surprised and puzzled by the sight
Just think, I thought that it was all about thee
The Lord thanks you for your honesty

Thought it was about thine, those and thus
I pray not, in the fabulous, I trust
After all the trials that I’ve been through
Did you think that it was all about you'?

Tears & Tears

The difference we’ve reached
Is the difference they teach
As a part of speech
There is no difference, I beseech

My motivation
Is its pronunciation
What is the difference between a tear and a tear
When tears fall from your eyes
or
Someone tears your heart apart
Physically a tear in your heart
Is a tear in your heart
Noun or verb all dynamic art

Poetry vs. Rhyme

Poetry and Rhyme
Are not one in the same
Poetry is fluid
Rhyme is like game
Staccatic-chaotic
The first course of action
Is to rhyme about my dissatisfaction
It is a conundrum to me
Why no solace, just intranquility
I plan to let the worries go
To make my poetry ebb and flow

Poetry What?

My poetry has not pleased me
It all sounds the same; a crying shame
Writing 'bout heaven and my heart
Obviously it needs a brand new start
Maybe I'll write about the event of the day
Then I heard about the kids and teacher in GA
Wow, how will I sound now
All sad, depressed and broken down
The definition of poetry is
Verse of the beautiful, elevated, imaginative
So, headlines can't make my rhyme
I need the fabulous to keep my time
Speaking of time, it is almost 5 o'clock
I'm ready to shut down this computer
And turn my key in the lock

If I Could Take Away Your Pain

If I could take away your pain
I'd welcome it deep inside of me
Wanting to feel all that you feel
Letting your pain abide in me
&
Pulling pain away from you
Is really all I want to do
When pain peaks at its worst
I pray for heaven to quench its thirst
